How much it will cost to have your tree or stump grinded, trimmed or removed?

The cost associated with tree removal or tree trimming will depend on the diameter of the tree or stump, and the location of the tree and / or stump. A tree or stump that is easily accessible will cost less to remove than a tree or stump that is hard to access. For example a tree or stump that is hard to get equipment to in a backyard may cost more than a tree or stump that is easily accessed. For us to give you an accurate estimate, we need to understand the size diameter of the tree or stump, and understand how accessible the tree or stump is – call us TODAY and we can provide you with a FREE ESTIMATE!

We are also commonly asked – when can you come?

Once we are contacted, we will work with you to do over very best to handle your job as quickly as possible. The speed at which a tree service can respond and arrive at a specific location depends on several factors, including:

Service Demand and Season Changes

During peak seasons, such as after storms or in spring and fall when tree maintenance is common, tree services may have a higher volume of requests, leading to longer response times.

Location In Yard

The proximity of the tree service to the location of the tree in need of service plays a significant role. Tree services located closer to the site can usually respond more quickly.

Availability and Schedule

The tree service’s current workload and schedule can affect their ability to respond promptly. They might be booked for several days or have specific days designated for certain areas.

Emergency Situations

In cases of emergency, such as a fallen tree blocking a road or posing a safety hazard, tree services often prioritize these situations and respond more urgently.

Accessibility and Complexity

The accessibility of the tree (e.g., easy access or in a confined space) and the complexity of the service required (e.g., trimming vs. removing a large tree) can affect response times.

Weather Conditions

Adverse weather conditions, such as heavy rain, snowstorms, or extreme heat, may affect the ability of tree service teams to work safely and promptly.

Workload and Backlog

If a tree service has a backlog of pending jobs, they may need more time to respond to new requests.

It’s essential to communicate the urgency of the situation and any potential hazards to the tree service when requesting their assistance, especially during emergencies. Keep in mind that safety and quality of service are paramount, so while you may want a quick response, we will also need to consider these factors to ensure the best outcome for both the property owner and our workers

Some Other Frequently Asked Questions

How much experience do you have?
5+ years of experience on tree removals & trimming, 3 years on stump grinding experience.

Can you provide references or customer testimonials?
Yes, we have multiple clients that would be able to give feedback on our work per your request.

What services do you offer?
Most popular services are tree removal, storm clean ups and stump grinding.

What equipment do you use?
We do not use heavy equipment; we climb and fall trees from the ground and can contract any bucket work needed.  This way your yard is protected, at times we may need to rent heavy equipment to move larger trees from a property, but is rare.

Do you provide free estimates?
Estimates are always free, we do not charge for our estimates  and often times we beat other competitive quotes.

Will you clean up after the job is done?
Yes, Full cleanup is always included, unless the customer does not want that service, which is usually to save on cost, which is just a “Cut and Drop” or Cut and Leave” not many customers choose this option as it involves heavy lifting clean up.

Do you follow industry safety standards?
Yes, everything we do is in accordance to ANSI Z133, which is the arborist bible to not only educate ourselves on safe removals and tree care but to also benefit our customers to know they are receiving a quality expertise service at an affordable price.

Can you provide a written contract?
Yes, we can give written or email estimates for our potential future clients, which details our services.  What we are doing, where the tree is located & what we will do with the brush and stump.  A lot of the pricing depends on what the customer would like to include, as everything is a la carte.

Are you trained and certified?
Logan Ruiz is ACRT trained for general arborist work, and he trains all of our workers to the same standards according to ACRT training and practices when it come to removals and tree trimming. Following and training our people to ANSI Z133.

What is your approach to tree care and preservation?
We take into consideration the type of tree, its general location, strength, and health to determine what needs to be done.  At times trees can be damaged by carpenter ants, which compromise the base of the tree which could lead to the tree falling over and causing damage in a storm.  Other reasons are usually due to other insect infestation such as the emerald ash borer, which attacks the Ash tree. The bug lays its egg just inside the bark and lays eggs, those eggs hatch and bore around the cambium layers of the tree which are crucial to nutrient and water transfer system of the tree. The other reason a tree might suffer, and die is due construction, where the root system of the tree is either damaged or the tree is covered too high with dirt at the base, causing the tree to die.

Do you have any special certifications or affiliations?
Log Masters Tree Service is part of the TCIA which is the largest tree service society for continued education and support to keep our skills sharp and up to date with industry standards for tree removals, pruning and safety.  Also works with ACRT to doing any of their latest and greatest Arborist training.  We are working towards obtaining our ISA Certification to become truly certified arborists through the International Society of Arboriculture.

Will you obtain the necessary permits if required?
Usually permits are not required, if they are Log Masters Tree Service will handle any permits required to perform the work, the customer would still have that financial responsibility.

What is your emergency response policy?
We do our best to respond in a timely matter, during storms we do our best to give our customers a timeline as this is a first come, first serve basis.  We do not operate our equipment in the rain or at night.  If there is a medical emergency or a tree is across the road, you will be directed to call 911.

Can you assess the health of my trees and recommend appropriate treatments?
Yes, we can do a tree assessment, which costs $75 to tell you what we find.  We first identify the tree by the bark, leaves or fruit that the tree drops, such as acorns or walnuts. The first item we look at is the base of the tree, looking for 1. Root Damage or 2. Root Rot. If the root system is damaged, the tree has nothing to hold on the tree ground. Next item is we start looking up the tree for 3. Bug Infestation, usually we can see holes from various insects, or another indicator is woodpecker holes. Next, we look for the 4. Bark Damage or Bark falling off, which is also an indicator that the tree is not doing so good. Next, we look farther up to the canopy of the tree for 5. Dead or storm damaged branches and 6. Leaf and Twig formation off the branches. A healthy tree will have strong branches and new twig growth and formation every year.  Next, we look at the 7. On the top of the tree and its leaves, looking for a healthy top, colorful leaves with no discoloration occurring during the season.  Last, we look at the trunk all the way to the top of the tree to ensure the tree does not have a 8. Co-Dominant Leader. A Co-Dominant leader is not good for the health of the tree and causes the tree to fight itself for nutrients and water. The best practice is to catch this while the tree is young, trim off the less dominant leader or smaller diameter leader, to promote proper tree growth.

I have been working with Logan on one of my rental properties on removing a couple trees. They did an excellent job removing them, cleaned up, and kept me updated with pictures which I was impressed with that. Logan even removed a stump for me for free during the job because he knew it would help out . I will be using his business in the future.

They were amazing! Quick and efficient work. The tree was down, cut up and cleaned up in no time. We communicated mainly through text messages which I found to be super useful (no playing phone tag). Their price was reasonable, and they absolutely exceeded my expectations. We will definitely be using them again if we need them.

Fast, efficient, professional, and very reasonable with their pricing. We had a small 12-14’ tree in our backyard that needed to be removed, and it was gone in about an hour with no mess and the hole filled back in with dirt. Will definitely be hiring Log Masters again for further tree removal services!

I could not ask for better service and professionalism from Log Masters Tree Service. I was able to call and get a quote in the same day, with a detailed explanation of the work that would be performed. The owner was also informative on work that should NOT be done in order to maintain tree health.Extreme caution and care were taken not to damage the tree and property. Clean up was done very thoroughly. They even took extra yard waste I had laying around the house that was not part of the original job!I would easily hire this company again.
